Mexican-Dutch mezzosoprano Itzel Trejo Medécigo presents her Masters exam concert at the excellent Hertz hall of TivoliVredenburg with a totally unique program. Based on her thesis, which explores the physical and mental dimensions of song and dance she gives us an explosive hour full of colour, rhythms and dance.
Backed up by a group of 18 musicians, singers and dancers from many parts of the world, whether Mariachi, opera singer, virtuoso pianist or top marimba player, she will guide you through hispanic music and dance, from Mexico to Spain, from Baroque to Twentieth Century Lied, from Guaracha to Zapateado and Son.
